How do I get set-up?
To get set-up you will first need supply cricketWeb with the domain name you would like to use for your website so that it can be registered with or transferred to our service provider. The cricketWeb team will work with you to choose the look and feel of your website and set this up ready for you to populate with information. You will be provided with a CDROM containing the install for the cricketWeb software application. This needs to be installed on each administrators computer. Installation instructions will be provided with each CDROM install of cricketWeb. Once cricketWeb is loaded onto your machine and you are given the go ahead by the cricketWeb team you can start entering your information and loading it up to your new website. How will I learn how to use cricketWeb™?
cricketWeb is provided with a help manual explaining how to use the application (soon to be available online). The cricketWeb team offer email support and endeavour to respond to all queries within 24 hours. If you haven’t used computers much before and would like some training on the application we can arrange to visit your premises and work with you to demonstrate each function and action. Please contact us for further information and pricing of personal training.

I have entered information into cricketWeb™ but its not appearing on my website?
Please check that you have connected to the Internet and clicked on the upload cricketWeb icon. If you have completed this action and your new details are not reflected on your website please contact us via email with details of the error message you are receiving.

Will cricketWeb™ provide me with ongoing help?
Yes, the cricketWeb team offer email support and endeavour to respond to all queries within 24 hours. Where necessary telephone support will also be provided. This service is included as part of your annual subscription.

What will my domain name be?
You can use your existing domain name, create a new one for your league or club or use cricketWeb as part of your web address. If you have an existing domain name we can help you transfer this to your new site. To create a new one, you will first need to check that it is available for purchase. This can be done at www.nominet.org.uk and if the name is available cricketWeb can help you purchase it.

How long does it take to get up and running?
Your cricketWeb site can be up and running for you to use within a week. You should however be prepared to set some time aside to get all of your information into cricketWeb for the first time – as this is completely dependent upon your administrators availability and access to your information. You will be learning how to use cricketWeb and possibly getting some of your information together for the first time so may be a little slow at first. It takes little time to maintain and update this information with results once the initial information is entered into cricketWeb. During initial set-up do enquire as to whether cricketWeb can import your fixtures automatically for you to save time.

Do I need to be proficient on a computer to use cricketWeb™?
No, cricketWeb is very easy to use and adopts the same principles as any Microsoft windows-based application like Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint. It comes with a help manual (soon to be online) and cricketWeb provide email support.

Can I decide the menu structure and pages I have on my club or league website?
cricketWeb provides 13 different web pages you can include on your website. You can select which of these pages you would like operational on your site. Additional or custom pages are available but are priced separately depending on the complexity of the page design. Please contact us if you would like to discuss adding a custom page to your website.

Can we try before we buy?
You can request a sample CDROM which will allow you to demo the cricketWeb™ application but will not publish any of your information to the web. Please contact us to register your interest and request a sample CDROM.

What does cricketWeb™ cost?
cricketWeb™ can be purchased for a one-off set-up cost and annual subscription fee depending on the size of your club or league. Please contact us with details of the size of your club or league for specific pricing information.

Are the personal details held on a club or league cricketWeb™ site secure?
Yes cricketWeb comply with the conditions set out in the Data Protection Act 1998 and are registered with the Information Commission. Details of how we collect, use and store your information is contained in our Privacy Statement on this website.

Will copyright and data privacy laws protect the information I display on my club or league site?
As your Club or League is collecting information on members you are required to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA). The DPA requires all staff to follow the eight enforceable data protection principles laid out by the Information Commission. What happens if I lose or corrupt the data I have stored in cricketWeb™?
A copy of your data is held centrally on the cricketWeb server and is backed up on a regular basis. We will be able to retrieve or correct your data from when the last back-up was taken.
